Spring Info Fair by Halton Outdoor Club, Mainway Arena, 4015 Mainway, Burlington, 7-9 p.m., free admission, all skill levels welcome, Unique food and wine pairing inspired by internationally acclaimed artists promises an Exceptional Evening for all In partnership with Crescent Hill Art Gallery, Chef and Somm Bespoke Dining, Rosewood Estate Winery, The Good Earth Food and Wine Co., and Adamo Estate Winery, Habitat Halton-Mississauga is thrilled to present the first of our Exceptional Evening Out Series, home is where the heART is, in support of our build programs. For one night only on Sat., Apr. 23, guests will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with internationally acclaimed artists Maya Eventov, Pietro Adamo and Mark Berens and enjoy an exceptional evening of art, food, wine and great conversation. This exclusive event sponsored in part by Genworth Canada, promises to be a unique evening art lovers will not want to miss. Guests will be able to get up-closeand-personal with Eventov, Adamo and Berens who will be at Crescent Hill Art Gallery in Mississauga to talk to guests about the creative and conceptual process behind the crafting of their distinctive paintings. "This is the first time we have introduced an event like this," says Habitat Halton-Mississauga CEO, John Gerrard. "We are bringing an evening like no other to those who not only love art, food and wine but who also support our building initiatives for the families we serve in our communities." From 6-9 p.m., guests will visit three art stations where they can view the artwork of Eventov, Adamo and Berens while they enjoy a bespoke food and wine pairing that has been meticulously prepared by Sommelier Rebecca Meir-Liebman and Chef Eyal Liebman to highlight each artist's work. All three artists are well known on the international art scene. Eventov has exhibited in many of the finest galleries in North America and her paintings can be found in private collections such as that of Jean Chrétien and in corporate collections such as the CIBC in Toronto. Her work evokes the rich, bold and bright colours of the Mediterranean. She often portrays scenes from her travels in her landscapes and as a background for her still-lifes. Her unique technique of etching on oil was inspired by the Faberge Eggs that fascinated her as a child in Russia. Adamo is a Toronto artist who uses textured surfaces and rough contours to create his abstract artwork. His works can be found in galleries throughout Canada, Europe and the U.S. Berens, also a Canadian artist, has a passion for painting natural surroundings. He is particularly noted for his ability to capture depth and light through textured dabs of a well-calculated colour palette. A special highlight of the evening will be the auctioning of an Eventov original painting, valued at $650, that the artist has donated for this event. Don't miss your chance to have this gorgeous work of art hanging in your home! "Habitat now has six build projects in Burlington, Advertorial Meet artists Maya Eventov (painting above) along with Pietro Adamo and Mark Berens at Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga's Exceptional Evening Out: home is where the heART is on Sat., Apr. 23 at the Crescent Hill Art Gallery in Mississauga.
