Thousands of gently-used books spanning all genres will be available for purchase, most of which are sold for $1.50 per pound (half price on Sunday). Specially-priced CDs, DVDs and audiobooks will also be available. The Friends of the Oakville Public Library are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to enhancing library programs and services for the community. Over the past 20 years, FOL activities have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been used to enhance educational offerings like TD Summer Reading Club, Battle of the Books, teen writing workshops, book clubs and more. If you are unable to visit the book sale, the Friends of the Oakville Public Library have set up `Friendly Finds' bookshelves at all library branches where a variety of books, CDs, DVDs and magazines can be purchased at a reasonable cost (25 cents to $1 per item -- pricing is indicated at each location). `Friends Only' Night April 13 April 13 is the `Friends Only' night and access is limited to those who have registered as `Friends'. Friends gain admission to the semiannual sales before they open to the public and are entitled to `first pick' of sale items.
