Police seek tow truck involved continued from p.1 "The driver lost control and plowed into the vehicle that was disabled, including four people who were standing outside the vehicle." Kaska was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other pedestrians, including Kaska's husband, were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are currently reviewing Ministry of Transportation video of the highway, which captured the events leading up to the collision. "We are trying to determine exactly who owns this piece (of equipment) and how it came off. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burlington OPP Detachment. We are asking for the owner of a tow truck that may be missing this component to turn themselves in," said Schmidt. "We certainly have questions and a family who just lost their mom or wife. They certainly want answers as well." The OPP is reminding anyone involved in a collision or breakdown along a major highway to get off the highway if the vehicle is at all drivable, even if it has a flat tire. Officers said if the vehicle is not able to be driven, staying inside it offers the most protection. Leaving the vehicle should only be considered if the current situation is deemed unsafe. Assessing vehicle damage should only be done off the highway in a safe location. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Burlington OPP Detachment at 905-681-2511. 9 | Thursday, April 21, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com ONE thing in common Walt Disney · H.
