The Bring it to Council competition, now in its second year, is fast becoming a tradition. Town staff has said the competition is intended to engage children and get them thinking about their potential as future leaders. The Oakville Conserves Energy Fair will take place at Town Hall on Saturday (May 28). The event, which is being held for the 10th year, runs from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and gives residents the opportunity to learn about new products and techniques that can help them save energy and money. Residents can speak to a variety of exhibitors representing electric vehicles, LED lighting, utility management and more. Town staff said in celebration of the 10th anniversary, the event is bigger and better than ever, with lots of prizes and free giveaways.
