Retired Oakville surgeon `always aspired to become an artist' A local doctor recently held an exhibit of his works at a private home in Oakville. Dr. S.V . (Andy) Anand, who is a retired surgeon who practised in Nova Scotia, Napanee, Oakville and Georgetown, said from a young age, he always aspired to become an artist. During his years in his medical practice, he spent holidays learning to paint in Europe. Anand has been an art instructor on the Cunard cruise line and has studied under the masters of several international schools, such as Fontainebleau School of Art in France, Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris and the University of Madrid.
