With almost 20 years in the hair care industry, Joy Golan, new manager and stylist at Hairtistic Salon and Spa has expanded spa services to include male clients. "Before I stepped in, the salon was geared only towards women and did not offer a male barber," said Golan. "We now have a barber who can do haircuts, colour, threading and facials for our male customers." Having worked in India and Dubai, Golan started her tenure as the head of the new management team at Hairtistic in June and has been working to create some changes to improve the services offered, while maintaining consistency for current clients. In addition to offering services to male clients, Hairtistic features two stylists for women, Golan and another seasoned stylist and offers haircuts and colour, highlights, facials, waxing, make-up and party updos for women. Having worked extensively in Dubai, Golan is sensitive to and accommodates the need for complete privacy for female clients who, due to religious or cultural reasons, are not comfortable being in a unisex salon. Open seven days a week, Hairtistic does offer walk-in appointments, but to ensure that clients do not have to wait, Golan suggests booking in advance. She adds that even though the salon is under new management, customers can expect the prices to remain the same, and the service to be excellent. Located at 1226 White Oaks Blvd. Unit 8, clients can stop by or call 905-815-9555 to learn more about the services offered and to book an appointment.
