Expert Lecture Series: Starting this September, the library will host free monthly lectures at its Central Branch. Presented by authors, thinkers and contemporary issue experts, the lectures will explore cutting-edge technologies, advances in medical research, events and trends in Canadian society among other topics. This monthly series will be held continuously until February 2017; it is free, though registration is required. The series' first speaker (Sept. 11) will be Jason Tetro, author of Our Life With Germs: A Tale of Love and Tolerance. He is also a visiting scientist at the University of Guelph.
