Halton Region's Proposed 2006-2010 Solid Waste M anagem ent Strategy Halton Region, in co-operation with the citizen advisory Joint Municipal/Regional Waste Management Committee has developed a revised Solid Waste Management Strategy for 2006-2010. It updates the 1999 Strategy to help extend the life of our landfill and provides choices for meeting or exceeding the Government of Ontario's waste diversion goal of 60 per cent. The Strategy identifies the proposed waste diversion initiatives for the next five years, as well as choices for managing our waste beyond 2010.
