4 - The Oakville Beaver, Friday January 27, 2006 Scotiabank robbed Lone bank robber walks out with cash Halton Regional Police are looking for a man who robbed the Speers Road Scotiabank Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when a lone male entered the branch and approached a teller. He produced a note that said he was commit ting a robbery. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, after which the man calmly left the bank. No weapon was seen and the suspect was last seen walking west. The suspect is described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, average height and 160-180 pounds. He had a medium build and was clean-shaven. He was wearing a dark, tight-fitting toque, blue jeans and a dark-coloured, waist-length jacket and dark sunglasses. Investigators believe the man was in the bank five or 10 minutes before the robbery and may have been observed by other customers.
