Peel Regional Police made the arrest Tuesday at around 9:30 p.m. at a home in Malton after iden tifying and matching fin gerprints the suspect left behind at a heist at a Mississauga bank oyer the weekend. In most of the robberies the suspect told tellers he had a weapon, although none was ever seen. There were no injuries. The num ber of rob beries sparked the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) to issue a $10,000 reward for infor mation leading to an arrest and conviction. Halton police are satis fied an arrest has been made and are particularly relieved no one got hurt during the heists. "Thankfully none of the incidents (resulted in) any violence whatsoever," said Halton Regional Police Sgt. Jeff Corey, noting the arrest will hopefully put bank tellers more at ease.
