Author Angela Tsounis is launching the second instalment of her book series meant to help parents feel less alone when working to help a child living with a mental health challenge. Tsounis, an Oakville resident of 25 years, will be at the Oakville Naturopathic We l l n e s s Centre, 2172 Wyecroft Rd., tomorrow (Nov. 11), from 3-8 p.m. to talk about her book Different from the Other Kids: Natural Alternatives Edition. The second instalment is based on the local author's Angela Tsounis weekly podcast of interviews with those who care for children with mental health challenges. "In the second book of the series, Angela takes the reader through a journey that has proven a contentious ground for both parents and medical professionals," stated a media release. "When she (Christina) was released (from hospital), I remember feeling completely ill at ease, not knowing what was next, as far as parenting this child was concerned," Tsounis told the Oakville Beaver in a previous interview. "Christina is a big proponent of this project. If she wasn't comfortable with all this, I wouldn't have taken it on."
