Halton police are investigating a series of thefts from motor vehicles in Oakville. Police said that during the early morning hours of Monday, March 27, unknown suspects broke into a number of vehicles in a north Oakville neighbourhood. The areas targeted were apartment building parking lots located at 350 Lynnwood Dr. and 1260 Marlborough Crt. Police said suspects smashed the side windows of locked vehicles and stole loose change, sun glasses and other valuables. A total of 12 vehicles were reported damaged. Police are reviewing all available surveillance footage from the areas in an attempt to identify Thieves smash and grabvaluables la w n x the individuals responsible for these thefts. Area residents are reminded to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police as soon as possible. People are also reminded to remove items of value from their vehicles and use any ex isting audible alarm systems during the overnight hours.
