Occurring on the west side of Sixteen Mile Creek, a sizable piece of the embankment gave way and slid into the water, along with two or three "really good-sized" trees, which took three or four hours to remove, according to TOWARF Commander Rick Bee. TOWARF is a Canadian Coast Guard Auxilia ry Unit that provides marine search-and-rescue service with the primary goal of saving lives in western Lake Ontario.
