May, in her 95th year, passed away peacefully in the presence of family. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Crow; son Robert, at the age of 13 from asthma; brother Alec, and sisters Jessie and Margaret. Greatly missed by her loving family, daughter Carol (Ray) Baldin; grand daughters Melanie Baldin and Lorraine (Allan) Penney, and her greatgrandson Dean. We also thank the management and staff members at Stirling Heights for their loving care and for being a part of May's family. May was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1923 and joined the Navy in 1942, as a member of the Royal Womens' Naval Service (Wrens) and was stationed in Lyness, Scapa Flow, Orkney Islands until the end of the Second World War. May met Stanley in the Navy and they were married in 1946, later settling in Ilford, Essex, England. They were married for 46 years. In 1995, May decided to immigrate to Canada to live with her daughter. May was a compassionate, kind hearted and strong woman. She enjoyed travel, crocheting, had a passion for animals and especially loved ballroom dancing. Cremation has taken place with interment to follow in England to be at rest with her son. A visitation is planned for Friday May 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas L9H 1C4 (additional parking at the Air Force Club). A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday May 27th at 2:00 p.m. at West Flamboro Presbyterian Church, 262 Middletown Rd., Flamborough L9H 5E1, followed by a reception.
