It gave people a chance to learn about the local paramedic services. There were displays, tours of paramedic vehicles and opportuni ties to try on the gear paramedics wear on the job. This year's Paramedic Week was recognized nationally from May 28 to June 3. Halton Region's Paramedic Services operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Halton paramedics provide pre-hospital care to residents across Halton. The service is comprised of more than 220 full- and part-time paramedics with a fleet of 34 emergency response vehicles.
