The proposed amendment will result in changes to the following parts of the Livable Oakville Plan: Section 8 (Utilities); Section 20 (Midtown Oakville); Schedule C (Transportation Network), Schedule D (Active Transportation Master Plan); Schedule I (Central Land Use); Schedule J (East Land Use); and, Schedules LI, L2 and L3 (Midtown Oakville Land Use, Building Heights and Transportation Network). The proposed amendment described above replaces the previously proposed "Midtown Oakville OPA" (2014), and is broader in scope. A t this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk's department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON, L6H 0H3 or at townclerk@oakville.ca before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted: a. the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and b. the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. To Property Standards B y-law Update The current Property Standards By-law 2007-100 has been amended several times since first being adopted by Council in 2007. Significant changes to this by-law include new requirements for construction fencing around all construction sites in town-- excluding interior only construction and those exempted by the Chief Building Official. about long grass and other nuisance property issues more quickly. This will be done by reducing the required property standards order compliance timeframe from a minimum of 19 daysto a lot maintenance compliance timeframe of five (5) days or less.
