As part of their seven-week honey moon, the Duynstees organized a twoweek Rocky Mountain vacation last fall for the Pathfinders hiking group. "I used to live out west, and I want ed to take my new wife there," said Duynstee, who met Netta through the Pathfinders. The honeymoon caught a few of the 14 participants by surprise. "I was supposed to be Peter's room mate," chuckled participant Howard Wills. They stayed at McLaren Lodge in Golden, BC, centrally located within an W hour's drive from six parks including Banff, Glacier, Jasper, Lake Louise, and Yoho, plus numerous points of interest in between. The group rendezvoused with Don and Julie Goodsir of Australia, who had booked the trip to view Goodsir Mountain. "They were in Oakville last year," explains trip leader Peter Duynstee. "Julie was here on a one-year teaching exchange, and Don joined our group." Since then, we've kept in touch. "They knew about this trip and wanted to go. We met them in Golden." The trip included hiking in Yoho National Park, site of Mount Goodsir, the park's highest peak at 3,562 metres and ninth highest in the Canadian Rockies, named for one of Goodsir's forbears. The group occupied eight of the 10 rooms at McLaren Lodge, rented two vans, and set off on a different adven ture each day. (See `Seniors . . .
