He gave to others with out a doubt. He has red puffy cheeks. He could fit through chimneys and old Saint Nick was going ballistic the Christmas list was at least 11 foot 4 when Nick heard the news. He just had to go to the North Pole as Soon as he got to the door his mom stopped him and said "What are you doing Nick?" Nick said, mumbling, "Going to the North Pole." His Mom said, "No way you are grounded remember." "Oh no" Nick replied. Nick said, "Please" in his best voice. "No Nick," Mom shouted. Nick thought and thought for at least half an hour and he got an idea. He went upstairs and Nick found a ribbon. It was long enough. He stuck the ribbon out of the window. He hung on to the ribbon. He almost forgot something. He hur ried up and got a cage a dog mask and mom's jello. Dad called Nick. He locked the door and climbed down the rib bon. He found a bus that was going to the airport. He hid and then he grabbed his mask. Nick put himself in the cage, somebody picked him up and put him in the airplane. He was at the North Pole and he was so hungry he ate all the jello. He was freezing. After awhile he fell on the floor and five more minutes till Christmas and all the boys and girls in the world were anxious for Santa's arrival. He was doomed. Nick was still on the floor. Animals gathered around him and the animals brought him to Santa Claus. Santa Claus brought him to the fireplace. Nick felt better and helped Santa Claus. They were right on time. That is why you see a kid on Santa's sleigh. Marco F. St. Matthew's School Grade 4 A vo's Tree Hi! My name is Errol and I am going to tell you my favourite Christmas memory way when I was 3. I saw a green candy-cane on the tree. It was the biggest, prettiest, most delicious looking candy-cane ever! I jumped, and jumped, and jumped, but I couldn't reach it. Finally I caught it but I wasn't happy because the tree had fallen on me! After yelling for help for what seemed like a couple of hours, my Avo came and found me pounding the ground try ing to escape from underneath the fallen tree. She pulled me out and got a green candy-cane for me. Later my mom found out what had happened and kept asking "Are vou o.k?" When I finally tried the candy-cane it tasted like wood! But still this is my favourite Christmas memory because every time I think of it, it makes me laugh. Errol G. It was Mary and Joseph. They were trying to get a camel to let Mary sit on his back because she was going to have a baby. But they found a donkey instead and Joseph said "I will give you all I have for the donkey." So he gave the man all he had for the donkey. They set off to the inn but the man who owned it said you a stable because there are no room left in the inn. So Mary and Joseph took the stable. That night a saviour was bom and was wrapped in swad dling clothes and laid in a manger and an angel was sent to the shepherds from God. The angel told the shepherds to see Jesus but they didn't have anything to give the new baby. But they came to see him and that was the best thing, the best thing they could give. There were three wise men who also came to visit and they gave gold, frankincense and myrrh. That is what Christmas means to me. Joanna St. Matthew's School Grade 4 W hat C hristm as m ea n s to m e Christmas is a special time of year because you get together with your family and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. You can have a feast and there are Evergreen trees and presents and Christmas lights. But the most important part of Christmas is giving. If you don't give you don't get. If everyone doesn't give then every one won't get and everyone will be miserable and sad and angry at each other. Another thing that is very special is traditions. Some tra ditions are decorating the tree and putting up stockings. A tra dition in my family is my brother, my dad, and me decorate the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. And that is what Christmas means to me. Krista M.
