The final film screening of its 2016-2017 lineup at Film. Ca Cinemas June 8 featured 10-year-old guest speaker Will Bigler. Will presented his speech on climate change which earned him third place in the Halton District School Board speech competition. According to Heather Govender, program director of Halton Green Screens, audience feedback included, "The young boy was terrific and made me feel hopeful." Will's speech was followed by the feature film for the evening, The Future o f Energy, and a talk by SolarShare about its solar bonds, which provide an eco-friendly alternative to many conventional investments. Hal ton Green Screens has received an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant and is sponsored by Film. Ca Cinemas.
