Art curator Dawn-Angela Seeley sources and pres ents artists for consideration to the W hole Foods team and organizes six show s per year. The current student show exhibits students' work in commemoration of Canada' s 150th birthday. Participating artists are: Jack Cai, Nadine Brenninkmeyer, Ella Feberwee, Kayli Lamb, Katie MacNicholas, Ivan Price, Kayla Sapir, Cara Smith and Avery Walker. The students range in age from 10-15 years and the ex hibit is entitled Birthday pAR Ty , a student show and sale of First Nations inspired art. Students were challenged to research and observe First Nations art styles and applied them to their ow n paintings -- acrylics on stark white canvases, showing symbols, beliefs, dreams and traditions that celebrate the awareness of a people w hose art origi nated before Canada began counting to 150.
