The competition, which w as founded in 1987, show cases the talents of young artists between the ages of 6-21. Sixteen-year-old Chloe Reelis started dancing at age three and has com peted in dance for more than nine years. She currently trains with The Dance Sta tion in Burlington. Chloe will be performing her contem porary solo Tungulio choreographed by Derek Piquette and Mitchell Jack son in the Rising Star Talent Com peti tion. The Oakville teen attended Garth Webb High School, but will now be attending Etobicoke School o f the Arts for Grades 11 and 12. As a m ember o f Team Canada, Chloe com peted in m odern dance at the Dance World Cup in Germany Continuing as a member of Team Canada, she will be in 2016 and brought home a gold and bronze medal. com peting in jazz and m odern dance at the Dance World Cup in December. Contestants are ju d ged on their natural ability, audience appeal, stage presence and the quality of their performance. The winner o f the ju nior competition (ages 6-12) will receive $1,000. The winner of the youth com petition (ages 13-21) will receive $2,500. People can watch the Rising Star Talent Com petition free with adm ission to the CNE.
