Firefighters were called to 710 Dorval Dr., at around 2:35 p.m., where they discovered two vehicles engulfed in smoke and fire. The blaze was quickly extinguished. Landscaping was taking place on the property when the fire erupted. "The fire started as a result of careless refueling of gardening equipment," said Deputy Fire Chief Paul Boissonneault. "It was a Whipper Snipper that was still hot and the refueling sparked a fire, which caused the damage to the two vehicles." The damage estimate from the blaze is around $40,000 to $50,000. Boissonneault said caution should be utilized when refueling. He noted care should be taken when dealing with any kind of fuel spillage as well as warm equipment.
