The inquest is investigating the August 1998 deaths of Lynn Fedora, 44, her children Adam, 15, and Amanda, 12, and Bonnie Lettuce, 45. The four died after being pulled from a house fire at 2007 Salvador Boulevard. On the fourth day o f the inquest, jurors heard testimony from an expert witness with the Ontario Fire Marshal's office. Arman Kassabian, a fire protection engineer, testified that the combination o f a smoldering fire, two non-working smoke alarms and a convoluted path for smoke to reach the one working alarm on the second floor, reduced the likelihood that the four victims would have received early warning that could have saved their lives.
