S u s p e c tfa c e sc h a rg e s inc a b b yro b b e ry A 22-year qld man is facing break and enter and rob bery charges after his arrest last week in connection with a home entry and a gunpoint taxi holdup. On Sept. 12th around m idnight, say H alton Regional Police, a Halton Taxi driver took a fare to a M arlborough Court address, but instead o f producing cash, the pas senger pulled out a gun and robbed the driver. The sus pect fled on foot. Just before noon last W ednesday, a Forsythe Street hom eow ner discovered his hom e had been entered and a quantity o f property stolen. Police began an investiga tion which included the checking o f second-hand stores. Fortunately, som e o f the property was located and recovered from a second-hand store in O akville and from there detectives were able to identify the suspect. Later that same day, police found and arrested a man on Stew art Street. He was also charged in connection with the Sept. 12th arm ed robbery. M ichael Vanier of no fixed address is charged with robbery, break and enter, p o ssession o f property obtained by crim e and possession o f a prohibited weapon.
