Last year, the R eg ion o f Halton approved funding o f $119,480 o ve r three yea rs to expand the program so that m ore fam ilies w ould have fresh produce throughout the entire month. Thankfu lly, the Halton R e g io n 's C om m un ity Investm ent Fund sa w the benefits o f the collaboration and has aw arded us the funding to expand this program . T h is funding has m ade it possib le for us to start a second packing d a y last Septem ber. A n d in the fall o f 2018, w e will begin w ork ing to launch tw o additional packing d a ys so that 400 m ore fam ilies will have healthy food all month.
