One man was arrested Wednesday in the Montreal area by m em bers o f the M ontreal Urban Community Police and the Laval Police Service. The suspect was arrested at his home without inci dent. COME TO THE SOURCE The Quebec resident was returned to Oakville for a bail hear ing, while two others are being sought in connection with the September thefts. From Sept. 4 th-5th, seven Canada Trust branches in Oakville, Burlington and Ancaster, were bro ken into and the ATM machines attacked. Only one of the machines was effectively entered but that unit held what police will only say was a sub stantial amount of cash and cus tom ers' deposits. It took the combined efforts of Halton Regional Police, M ontreal and Laval police, O ttawa Carleton Regional Police and Canada Trust investigators to move the investiga tion forward. Through a review o f the crimes and bank surveillance tapes, several suspects were identified. Armed with search and arrest warrants, Halton officers travelled to M ontreal on M onday and met with police there. Charged with seven counts of break, enter and theft is George Turner, 59, of M ontreal. Warrants have been issued for Quebec residents Serge Fournier, 48, o f St. C alix te and Paul Bryntwick, 48, o f Laval. hitroduem ^. A new concept in O Cooking Instruction!
