The Oakville Justice Film Festival was created last year by ClearView Church to make space for the community to come to gether to seek justice for others. Each film was selected to give a voice to the voiceless, shining light into an area that can be clouded in our busy lives. The World in Ten Blocks, Stories From Bloor Street (Toronto) is a walking tour of Bloorcourt where you can meet the participants and dive into the history of immigration in the neigh- bourhood, going back a cen tury. There is also a 34-min ute film that brings the voic es of the participants to gether in a collective telling of the immigration experi ence. While there is sadness and loss in these stories, the film project is ultimately a celebration ofthese remark able individuals and the unique city they call home. On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7:15 p.m. at Film.ca Cine mas, 171 Speers Rd., Unit 25, see The World in Ten Blocks, Stories From Bloor Street (Toronto). On Saturday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at ClearView Church, 2300 Sheridan Garden Dr., see Complicit, a film by Heather White and Lynn Zhang. There are 73 million children around the world involved in the worst forms of child labour and more than 1,200 companies oper ating in Canada at high risk of being linked to this prac tice. World Vision Canada's No Child For Sale campaign brings together concerned Canadians to demand that the Government of Canada enact supply chain trans parency legislation requir ing corporations to reveal how their products were made. Panel discussions after each film give festivalgoers the opportunity to dig deep er into the issues and meet those on the front lines. Various relief organiza tions will also be available to answer the question, "What now?" Learn more at www.oak- villejusticefilmfest.com.
