Set for Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m., the event will feature food, fun and an opportu­ nity to make a difference in an animal's life. "It's through fundrais­ ers like this that we are able to save these precious lives," said Joan Znidarec of The Dog Rescuers Inc. The organization relies on the generosity of others to support animals in need. Most recently, it received a donation from a White Oaks Secondary School alumni reunion event held at The Original Sixth Line Pub. Thanks to the support of pub owner Joe Perie and event organizer Marisa Marciano, The Dog Rescu­ ers Inc. received $1,125, which it will use to offset its veterinary expenses. Tickets for the upcom­ ing trivia night cost $15 and include appetizers, game entry and the chance to win some door prizes.
