It's set for Tuesday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church (454 Rebecca St.), where John Berriman will speak about Charter Ability. Started in 2003 by Ste­ phen Cull, Charter Ability provides an accessible boat­ ing experience for those with physical limitations or other personal challenges. The idea came to Cull two years earlier when he was on a pontoon boat at a cottage on Lake Muskoka with family and friends, some with physical chal­ lenges. Charter Ability has a full-accessible dock on Six­ teen Mile Creek, adjoined to Busby Park on Water Street. It operates two pon­ toon boats to take people along the creek and into a wildlife sanctuary in down­ town Oakville. Trips are provided free of charge, thanks to dona­ tions received and the com­ mitment of Charter Abili­ ty's volunteer boat opera­ tors. Central Baptist Church invites Oakville residents to celebrate its 61st annual World Day of Prayer on Fri­ day, March 2. The service is free and runs from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sponsored by a number of local Christian church­ es, this year's program - prepared by the Women of Suriname - is titled All God's Creation Is Very Good. Refreshments and fel­ lowship will follow the ser­ vice and a collection will be taken in support of the Women's Inter-Church Council o f Canada.
