The story soon fits into the classic mold: the only available boat is blown up, leaving all of them stranded on the island. There are attempted murders and finally an actual death, and it‘s obvious that only Chase‘s guests could be suspects. The situation gets worse as a hurricane approaches, and those on the island have no escape. Now Henrie not only has to worry about finding the murderer, but surâ€" viving the hurricane. Coâ€"host and dance judge for the evening will be country recording artist, Laura Mattson. NBS students have appeared in productions of Pastorale since the work‘s much praised premiere in May 1990. Chase wants to name it Prescott‘s Island but natives of the area still use the traditional name: Dead Man‘s Island. Henrie (short for Henrietta) soon discovers that this is more than a friendly visit: Chase wants her to find out who is trying to kill him. All these elements add up to a story with all the suspense and mysâ€" tery a reader could ask for. The entry fee is $20 per team. Each team is limited to six dancers and each team must dance two dances Registration forms are available through Chaps Dorval or Chaps Bronte.
