Theft thwarted by store employees DAVID LEA dlea@oakvillebeaver.com OAKVILLE - Halton po­ lice are looking for one sus­ pect following a failed at­ tempt to steal around $1,400 worth o f pain medication from an Oakville drug­ store. On March 12 at around 2:15 p.m., a man entered the Rexall Pharma Plus at 523 Maple Grove Dr. Police allege the individ­ ual selected various pain medications and concealed them in a reusable bag he was carrying. Store employees con­ fronted the suspect as he at­ tempted to leave the busi­ ness, at which point he tried to tell them he had purchased the items at a different store. The man eventually sur­ rendered the bag, but then fled the store. An employee chased the individual outside and saw him get into an older m od­ el, light grey Infiniti. The suspect is described as black, in his late 20s, six feet tall, 170 pounds, with a thin build. He wore a dark winter jacket with a fur lined hood, black pants, black shoes and a navy blue baseball cap with a white (possibly Nike) symbol at the front.
