TRANSIT GO Transit adding new morning and late-night train trips to Lakeshore lines Metroland file photo GO Transit is adding new weekend m orning and daily, late-night train trips on its Lakeshore west and east lines, starting April 7. That means there will be a total o f 52 new trips for commuters travelling be tween Oakville and Toron to on the Lakeshore West line and between Oshawa and Toronto on the Lake- shore East line, according to a media release issued by the Ministry o f Transporta tion o f Ontario. The UP Express will also have two new early-morn ing trips departing from Union Station at 4:55 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. to Pearson In ternational A irport - for a total o f 14 new trips per week - also starting on Sat urday, April 7. "Regular, reliable public transit is essential to help ing people access the jobs, services and opportunities that help to provide a high quality o f life," said Ontario Minister o f Transportation Kathryn McGarry. "More consistent 30- minute service on the Lake- shore lines between Oak ville and Oshawa brings us closer to delivering on our promise o f 15-minute ser vice - all day, every day."
