47 Volunteers valued being. Volunteers are everyday people from all walks of life who respond to the call, to help in numerous ways. They see and respect the dignity of individuals who make up the fabric of our society. In a thousand different ways they lighten the load for others. Some are people who know they have been blessed in life and want to give back in a way that will strengthen their com munity by paying it forward. Everyday people whose goal is to strengthen their community will tell you that they gain more than they give. They will tell you that they learn new skills, build self confidence, make new friends, feel val ued ; many will say it has helped with their physical and mental well being. In today's environment the call to action is constant and the individuals we call volunteers answer that call every minute of every day.
