Friday, May 14, 1999 Golf championship concludes May 25th (Continued from page 24) held May 25th at Carlisle, and it will actually be weighted more in value, at 60 per cent for both the team and individual championships. The team score is determined by taking the top two scores and then averaging the scores o f the third and fourth players which some what softens the blow of an inevitable bad outing. At the end of the second round of the Hatton championship, the top two teams wilt move on to the G-HAC championship as well as the next best four players who are not on the top two teams. The Hamilton separate board, which is about half as big as the Halton section, basi cally sends half that amount to G-HAC, quali fying one team and their next best two players. This G-HAC meet is tentatively slated for Friday, May 28. From this tournament, two of the three teams will qualify for OFSAA as well as the next two best golfers (not on the winning teams). Back to the Halton high school tour, between these two key Halton championship meets, the two divisions (Volpe and Richardson) are keeping warmed up by playing a series of tournaments for division al bragging rights, but they have no impact on the Halton championships which ulti mately determine our G-HAC and OFSAA representatives._____ * R e s e rv e Y o u r T e e -O ff T im e!
