Family and friends of Keegan Parkinson gath- ered at St. James Roman Catholic Church at 231 Mor- den Rd., on July 26 to say goodbye to a young man several are remembering for his quiet and gentle na-for his quiet and gentle na-f ture. "Spending holidays and special occasions together with the family, we remem- ber Keegan's shy, quiet de- meanour, his big brown eyes, cute little lisp when he spoke and adorable dim- ples when he smiled. I spe- cifically remember our quality time in Killarney with family when one after- noon Keegan came out of his shy shell to paint with me at the kitchen table. My heart swells thinking of that special moment." Another online poster, Jessie Childs, said Keegan was a great friend to many who would be greatly missed. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Kee- gan's family. Lucy Paunkoff, a family friend who set up the page,friend who set up the page,f discussed the purpose of the fundraiser in a post. "As owners of The Bee- hive Hair Studio, a long- standing and much loved business in the Oakville community, Steph and Sa- brina are self-employed and rely on their business as their sole source of in- come," she wrote. "Because of this tragedy, they are faced with having to close their business until their family is able to work through their grief. With the business closed they will struggle with the fi- nancial burden of the fu- neral and life's everyday ex- penses."
