The 2017 launch of Blue Dev-excellence. The 2017 launch of Blue Dev-excellence. The 2017 launch of Blue Dev ils Academy and the 2018 inclusion of the girl's academy and Women's League1 team indicate the Blue Devils are in pursuit of this continued tradition and are dedicated to developing it from a grassroots level. The Blue Devils are looking to develop players that excel both on and off the pitch, and they have the tools and resources to do so. The complete player pathway starts at the U8 level and leads to League1, which is positioned to become a feeder league for the Canadian Premier League. The Academy prides itself on developing players from the grassroots level and working with them to improve and hone their skills. The Academy runs year round, playing in both the OASL pilot league during the outdoor season and Hershey League for the indoor season In addition to a strong, competitive devel- opment program, the Blue Devils also offer mentoring sessions between the League1 Players and Academy players. League1 players work with younger players within the academy to improve their knowledge and understanding of the game while also working on essential skills. This relation- ship not only provides role models for the academy but also helps provide both acad- emy players and their parents with a visual understanding of the player pathway. More important than simply developing players, are the educational opportunities the Blue Devils offer through the years of connections formed and maintained by the senior technical staff. The numbers speak for themselves with 87 per cent of players coached and developed by the senior tech- nical staff receiving postsecondary educa- tion scholarships to the United States. Of this 87 per cent, 90 per cent of players played in the NCAA with 51 per cent playing Division I. If you think you're the next Blue Devil visit bluedevilsacademy.com/trials.
