On behalf of the business com- munity, the Oakville cham- ber is engaging the mayor- al candidates, as well as the candidates running for town council and regional council in a conversation around business priorities. In fact, the Oakville chamber recently launched a "Road Map for Business Success" high- lighting four important pil- lars identified by our mem- bers in a recent advocacy survey. 1. Oak- ville's economic growth is an important factor in the success of the Greater To- ronto Hamilton Area (GTHA). Ensuring its con- tinued success, as a genera- tor of jobs and prosperity, requires partnerships on vital municipal infrastruc- ture. The Oakville chamber believes that our local rep- resentatives need to advo- cate and partner with our provincial and federal gov- ernments to engage munic- ipalities, and the private sector on a long-term infra- structure investment strat- egy to increase productivi- ty to enable competitive- ness.
