Officials from the Oak- ville Public Library, the Town of Oakville and the Halton District School Board were on hand for spe- cial ceremonies. Identified as an action item in the library's 2016-19 strategic plan, the White Oaks Branch renovation fo- cused on OPL's goal to transform its virtual and physical spaces to encour- age creativity, collaboration and discovery. The newly renovated space has a whole new look, with an increased lounge area, additional seating, added workspaces, new car- pets and fresh paint. The library is located within the White Oaks Sec- ondary School. The blended model offers more integrat- ed programming for the stu- dents and public, allows for the sharing of resources and empowers community connectivity.
