Queen Elizabeth Park Community andQueen Elizabeth Park Community andQ Cultural Centre Black Box Theatre will host the Act of Faith (AoF) presentation at 2 p.m. Quesnel, a Kitchener native, wrote theQuesnel, a Kitchener native, wrote theQ play that has met with great success for the last three years. Oakville actor Vince Carlin, artistic di- rector of AoF, has performed the role of Scrooge in those productions and is now bringing the work to Oakville. He'll be joined by several talented Oakville and ar- ea actors for this one-time reading, staged for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lym-for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lym-f phoma Society of Canada. In addition to Carlin, well-known local actors Caroline Saulez, Virginia McEwen, Chris Reid, Jo Kemp, Linda Spence and Myrna McBrien will be taking on multiple roles in the play, which is based on the true story of how Dickens came to write his clas- sic, A Christmas Carol. Oakville teacher, actor, singer David Turnbull is Dickens, Dundas actor Peter Lloyd is Jacob Marley, Cameron Brindle is Tiny Tim and Josh Aubin plays several roles. There'll be a choir adding music to the story, led by Catherine Ross and accompa- nied by Brian Turnbull. Regular tickets cost $25 and senior/chil- dren tickets are $20. Act of Faith productions CONTRIBUTED OAKVILLE ACTOR VINCE CARLIN IS SCROOGE COMMUNITY The May Court Puppeteers brought their anti-bullying message to Our Lady of Peace School on Nov. 20 as part of National Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week (Nov. 18-24). Their 'What Would You Do' performance touched on both cyber and physical bullying, as well as what youth can do to not just be a bystander.
