The program allows those living with a cogni- tive disorder, or who have a history of wandering, to wear a small, personalized wristband that emits an in- dividualized tracking sig- nal. Police have said the time it take to find someone en- rolled in Project Lifesaver averages 30 minutes; 95 per cent less time than those not enrolled, which is par- ticularly important during the winter. Halton police have pre- viously stated the initial cost of enrolling in Project Lifesaver is $400 for the bracelet.
