Of several alter- natives, a "facelift" plan was preferred by the ma- jority of the public, who also want to keep the trees and grass. A small minority is opposed to trees and grass. The town will decide soon what to do. I believe it is impor- tant to keep the trees and grass. The grass is a play space for kids and fami- lies watching outdoor events, yoga classes and many other activities. The grass moderates the micro-climate and makes the Town Square more comfortable to use. At some point with the past two to three weeks someone approached the property, which is located on Fourth line near South Service Road West, and cut a hole in the chain link fence surrounding the compound, police said. The intruder went to a crane inside fenced area and removed up to 100 feet of copper wire. The theft was not re- ported to police until Jan. 18. No suspect description is available at this time.
