The collision, which involved a Halton po- lice cruiser and a civilian vehicle, took place shortly after noon. "The injuries related to the collision in Oakville are considered non-life-threaten- ing," said Halton police in a Twitter update. The crash resulted in Dundas Street being closed in both directions from Oak Park Bou- levard to Trafalgar Road as a collision inves- tigation got underway. Sergeant Ryan Snow of the Halton police collision reconstruction unit said the police vehicle involved was a fully marked police cruiser. He also said the vehicle was responding to a call for service and had its emergency lights flashing and siren activated when it enteredflashing and siren activated when it enteredf the Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street inter- section where the collision occurred. "We'll be looking at what the traffic lights were doing when the collision occurred," said Snow. "We're also going to be looking at speeds and we are also looking for any witnesses that would have seen what occurred." Police said the road reopened around 4:30 p.m. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
