Peg was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Thomas 'Tom' Allen in 2009 and her brother Jack Tatton in 2011. Peg will be forever remembered with gratitude and love by her children, Thomas 'Tom' Allen (Candace) and Marlene Bird (Paul), her grandchildren, Brian Bird (Ali Care), Meredith Macwilliam (Brian), Jamie Allen (Eva), Graham Allen (Kristi) and Megan Olynik (Jason) and by her great grandchildren - Paige, Evelyn, Elsa, Owen, Brennen, Declan, and Lily. She will be missed by her brother Richard (Dick) Tatton and her sister- in-law Joyce Jennison. Peg grew up in Swansea where she met Tom while attending an Easter weekend Girl Guide / Scout service in 1940 when both she and Tom were leaders. Peg and Tom married in 1944 and together raised their family in Etobicoke. They continued their love of the outdoors with many family camping trips on the Trent and Severn waterways, as well as winter weekends spent skiing. Peg was a long time member and Elder of Royal York Rd. United Church where she belonged to the UCW and was an active participant in the Meals on Wheels program for over 20 years. Peg believed strongly in community service and received several awards for over 25 years volunteering for charities close to her heart including the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canadian Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation. Peg was a talented artist, specializing in oil painting, sharing her talent by teaching for a number of years. Her skills with fibre art included sewing and smocking and she continued with these talents until very recently. Peg will always be remembered for her kindness and love of family. Family and friends are welcome at the visitation at Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St W. on Tues. May 7 from 7 - 9 p.m. and a Celebration of Life on Wed. May 8 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 454 Rebecca St., Oakville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Royal York Road United Church. BIBBY, Olivia Quinn May 21, 1991 - April 18, 2019 A flood of tears are being shed for a uniquely gentle, kind and wonderful young soul, who was taken from us far too early. Olivia Bibby died in Oakville, Ontario at the age of 27. Olivia was working on completing her Masters to be able to go out into the world and help others. She has been suffering from Complicated Grief Disorder and related issues for some time. The loss of Olivia is deeply and grievously felt by a great number of friends and family. She was sincerely loved by all who knew her. She leaves in Oakville, her mother Connie Buck, her step-father Mike Sanci and her sister Rheanna Bibby, in Nova Scotia her father Ian Bibby, step-mother Shelley Bibby and half siblings Elliot and Gabriel Bibby, and Caitlin and Cairis Wall. McAFEE, Gladys Peacefully surrounded by her family at Highland Crest Senior's Home, Minden on Thursday morning, April 11, 2019, in her 91st year. Always happy and having fun, Gladys enjoyed many interests such as travelling, gardening, knitting, bowling, crafting and hosting many friends and family at home and at the lake. She dedicated her time to helping others and working with special needs children in Oakville and later in Markham, where she started a cooking school at Participation House to prepare young adults for independent living. PRATT, Michael Reginald Courtney July 27, 1934 - April 12, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family must announce the sudden passing of Michael Reginald Courtney Pratt. Mike passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2019. Born in Montreal, Michael began his banking career with Barclays Bank (Montreal) which later became CIBC. In 1972, Michael moved to Oakville with the bank. He eventually became CIBC's downtown Oakville Branch Manager and after a two- day retirement, he took over as Branch Manager at Royal Trust. Following his second retirement, Mike moved on to work at London Life. Mike was an avid volunteer with a variety of organizations including the United Way of Oakville (Chair), Oakville Chamber of Commerce (President), Oakville Golf Club (President), Rotary Club of Port Credit and the Oakville Waterfront Festival. Michael was predeceased in March 2019 by Ann, his loving wife of 61 years. Michael is survived by his two children Bill (Teresa) Pratt and Andrea (Dave) Andison. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Jamie, Courtney, Chris and Robbie Andison, Diandra and Dan Pratt, and great granddaughter Sloane. A private celebration of life has taken place.
