Winnie was born in Oakville in 1924, later in life she moved to Bronte after her marriage. In 1967, she moved to Starkville with her husband where they farmed the McKay family homestead until 2007, at which time they moved into Newcastle. Jack, beloved husband of 69 years predeceased Winnie in 2015. Loving mother of Bonnie Miller of Toronto, Lynn MacNab and her husband Jim of Smithville. Proud grandmother of Tara Miller O'Donoghue (Aidan), Chris Miller (Alanna), Jonathan MacNab (Marcia), Jessi Matthie (Ben). Adoring great-grandmother of Alexandra, Jacob, Abigail, Isabella, Madelynn, Clara, Hannah, William and Nora. Dear sister of William Hughes (Beverley), predeceased by siblings: Charles, who is survived by his wife Betty; Roy, who is survived by his wife Edith; sister Lily and brother Reggie. Winnie will be lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Bob MacKay and wife Daisy, sisters-in-law Charlotte MacKay (Jim) and Connie MacKay (Bud), as well as her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Winnie was a feisty and hard-working woman who adored her family and even in her 90's, a well-known sight in town as she made her way on foot to conduct her grocery shopping. A visitation was held at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill Street S., Newcastle on Tuesday, May 22nd 2019 from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11 a.m. Interment at Trafalagar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville. Fraser will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 65 years, Rosemary (Nina) and his children, Bob (Carol), Tom (Sue), Mary Beth (Gord), Peggy Lynn (Dan), and Gerry (Diane). Fraser will also be fondly remembered by his thirteen grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and by his brother Mike and sister-in- law Lynn. Fraser was predeceased by his brother Murray and sister Jean. Fraser will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Death Notices Death Notices PASQUAL, Ines (nee Nora) Passed away peacefully in Oakville on May 16, 2019. Cherished mother of Joyce (Daniel), granddaughters Lisa and Julie, and great granddaughter Kennedy. Ines was a proud member of the Pasqual and Nora families. She was a strong and determined woman who lived a long and full life. Ines set and achieved many goals. She worked in fashion sales for 25 years and in retirement, was dedicated to volunteering with many associations, her craft and card groups, and spending time with family. Ines also loved music and dance and took great pride in her home and repainting her garden gnomes each spring. A memorial will be held in Timmins at a later date. We would like to thank Wyndham Manor and all of Ines' caregivers for their kindness and compassion over the past 10 years. Mary is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bob; her children Doug (Marie-Eve), Andrew (Amy), Jennifer (John) and Kathy; and nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters Eleanor, Joyce and Margaret, and was predeceased by her brother Russell. After growing up in Montreal, Mary and Bob raised their family in Mont-Saint-Hilaire then spent 30 years in Oakville and seven years in Penticton. She will be dearly missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her life. A private celebration of Mary's life will be held by the family at a later date.
