FARNDALE, Robert (Bob) Samuel January 16, 1936 - May 24, 2019 Bob passed away at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital early in the morning, after months of declining health. He leaves behind his brother Bill (Sharon) of London, sister-in-law Kent of Port Perry, son Kirk of Oshawa, daughter Michelle (Darrell) Pantalone of Oakville, grandchildren Peter, Adrian, Holly, and Russell, and nephews Scott (Sharon) and Sean. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Mabel and brother Doug Farndale. Bob had a decades long career as an auto mechanic and worked at the Port Perry IGA before retirement. He pursued many interests, hobbies, and had his share of toys throughout his years. He had a lifelong love of music, both playing and listening (the Oakville Wind Orchestra will miss it's oldest fan). Dad enjoyed living at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence for over the last 10 years. We thank the staff and fellow residents for their care, kindness, and compassion during that time. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Oakville Memorial Hospital for helping make dad's last days as comfortable as possible. Bob will be remembered for his sharp sense of humour and his love of his family, butter tarts, and anything red. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. For those wishing, donations to your local Humane Society in Bob's memory would be appreciated.
