At 3:25 a.m., Halton po- lice were called to the Petro Canada gas station at 1550 North Service Rd. Officers were told an in- dividual had attempted to rob the business but left empty-handed. No weapon was seen and no one was injured. During a search of the surrounding area, police encountered a man walk- ing down the street. An investigation quick- ly resulted in an arrest and the seizure of a "pellet gun and a knife," according to Halton police. Julian Ciszewski, 23, of Burlington has been charged with robbery, pos- session of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carry- ing a concealed weapon and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
