The event will also fea- ture a Kids' PlayZone, which will offer numerous free activities for toddlersfree activities for toddlersf and teens alike. Home Depot will offer a Kids' Workshop, a one-on- one craft activity. There will also be bouncy castles, robotics teams demonstrating their creations, face painting, caricature artists and a clown who will make bal- loon animals. "We have all kinds of emails coming in. The com- munity just loves this event," said Peden. "We are happy to put this on for the community be- cause a lot of it is free for the kids." Sheridan College presi- dent Janet Morrison said the college is pleased to host the event once again. "Certainly, engagement in the Town of Oakville and in our broader communi- ties of Mississauga and Brampton really matters to Sheridan," she said. "We pride ourselves on being an active, engaged contributor and who doesn't love ribs. I think ev- eryone is looking forward to a great weekend." Admission to Ribfest is $2, with all proceeds going toward supporting the Ro- tary Club of Oakville Tra- falgar's charitable activi-falgar's charitable activi-f ties. The rotary club helps a variety of local organiza- tions, including the Kerr Street Mission food bank, the Oakville Fare Share Food Bank, the Children'sFood Bank, the Children'sF Aid Foundation of Halton and many others. They also support the Stephen Lewis Foundation and provide funds to inter- national projects such as Haiti Containers for Hope and Polio Plus, which seeks to eradicate polio globally.
