Balbir joins her father, Darshan Singh Sanghera, and mother, Surjit Kaur, in a more peaceful place. Family meant the world to Balbir and she is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Kapur Singh Athwal, and her children, Sukhdip (Roderick), Harpreet, Pardip, Kamalpreet (Andrew). Balbir will also be fondly remembered by her two grandchildren, Supna and Saajan, along with her siblings who she loved so dearly. Her fun-loving spirit will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in memory of Balbir on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home at 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville. SHEEN, Joan Age 95, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2019 at Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa with her loving daughters by her side. She was born February 12, 1924 in Croydon, England to Ronald and Edith Panniers. She married her long-time friend and love, Jack Sheen, in April 1946 who preceded her in death in 1993. Carrying her memory on are her daughters Pauline (Tony) Mihok, Elisabeth (Jim) Morley, Susan (Wayne) Schigol; her grandchildren Marika Mihok (Jakub Majewski), Amanda Morley and Derek Morley; and great-grandaughter Natalia Majewska. Joan was a dedicated mother and wife. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She was wise, cultured and made people feel loved around her. She was an active member of St. Simon's Anglican Church in Oakville for many years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Oakville at a later date. MacKINLAY, Patricia Anne (Harris) (October 19, 1940 - June 7, 2019) Pat passed peacefully, at The Waterford LTC on June 6, 2019, at the age of 78, after facing Alzheimer's with strength and dignity. Predeceased by her husband David Alan Roe, whom she married later in life, but they shared a loving 48 years together. Muriel is survived by her brother Edwin Bryson.
