Carly Donaldson photo COMMUNITY The Oakville Gymnastics Club will host the inaugural Canadian championships in acrobatic gym- nastics Saturday and Sunday. More than 150 athletes from across the country will compete at the club in the Glen Abbey Community Centre. Acrobatic gymnastics in- volves partners or groups per- forming acrobatic moves, danceforming acrobatic moves, dancef and tumbling elements set to mu- sic. The competition runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 22 and 9 a.m.-3:35 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. At the same time the club will be hosting the Oakville Friend- ship Cup in acrobatic gymnas- tics. It will showcase children's performances at the introductory level. Tickets are available at the door. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
