Suffering a heart attack, Charles Robert Mason, 180 Waneta Dr., died suddenly August 17 while helping a friend in cleaning operations at the office of the British American Oil Company refinery in Clarkson.
Mr. Mason was in his 69th year and was born in England. For some years he was employed as a leather cutter by a Toronto shoe firm , but was retired at the time of his death. He had been in Oakville about two and a half years.
In the First World War Mr. Mason served overseas with the 75th Battalion. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 266, Toronto. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Cyril of Newmarket
and Ronald o f Islington, and a daughter, Mrs. R. Clarke, Streetsville.
The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from the Morden Funeral Chapel to Sanctuary P a r k Cemetery, in Weston. Services were conducted by Rev. Leonard Geary, padre of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 260.
